OVERVIEW

SERIES INFO

1. THE POWER OF AN IRRESISTIBLE ATTRACTION
When Christ spoke, His words made a new man out of Paul, and his life demonstrated the truth and reality of what happened when he met Jesus Christ. The measure of Paul’s influence was the measure of his experience, he had “seen Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 9:1)

2. UNDER NO ILLUSION
Paul writes to a young preacher who will minister in a pagan culture, and also in a church struggling to survive in that culture. The temptation will be strong to turn away from “the truth.” (2 Timothy 4:2-5) Doctrine is a concern of the church, not of the world. The world doesn’t much care what the church believes, but the church must care.

3. POPULARITY OR PRINCIPLE
“We are to stand firm as a rock on the principles of the Word of God, remembering that God is with us to give us strength to meet each new experience.” (2SM407) Sometimes that takes bravery. It is not always popular. In such circumstances the duty of God’s heralds is to be what God has made them, and speak His Word with boldness and assurance. To do so is in the best Adventist tradition!
