ABOUT-- Willard Santee

Willard Santee, a descendant of Hugenot ancestry and early Adventist history, carries on the tradition of his heritage as a man of faith and hope. As a descendant from a people who would rather die than go with the crowd, whether in the French Inquisition or under the subjugation of the King of England, Santee has taken a stand of faith against the liberal element of higher criticism that has been so prevalent since the early 90's. Pastor Santee served as a Seventh-day Adventist pastor for over 35 years before passing to his rest on February 7, 2015.

SERIES INFO

1) TO THE GENTILES
In his first chapter, Paul confronts the sin problem among the heathen or Gentiles, and clearly lays out their final destiny. Before he presents his case; however, he makes a profound statement concerning the power of the gospel. This key verse sets the stage for the rest of his book and offers hope to the most wayward and hopeless sinner.

2) TO THE JEWS
In his second chapter, Paul confronts the sin problem among the Jews. He clearly lays out their final destiny and shows they, too, must have a change of heart. Heritage, or position in the church, is not a security against the sin problem that must be confronted and dealt with. This study is very contemporary in bringing parallels to our present generation.

3) TO MEN AND WOMEN EVERYWHERE
There is a law that prohibits a woman from marrying another man as long as her present husband lives. However, the Apostle Paul shows us how to use this law to our advantage and get out from under the control of a destructive relationship. The various illustrations used in this presentation will help us experience a changed life.

4) THE HUMAN WILL
A basic knowledge of the will is extremely important if we are to understand the book of Romans, for “It is through the will that sin retains its hold upon us.” Ellen White speaks of the natural human will as being the stronghold of Satan. What man chooses to do with his will will ultimately determine his final destiny.

5) THE FAITH FACTOR
In Hebrews 11:6, we read that “without faith it is impossible to please God.” In this study we discover that each of us has sufficient faith to please God. But, we need to know what faith really is and how to exercise it. Living a victorious life is more than believing in Jesus, for even the devils believe in God, and tremble. (See James 2:19)

6) PICKING UP THE LOOSE ENDS
In this addendum a number of points are considered that relate to this series on Romans–including a special look at the nature of Christ. Have you ever wondered why sin will never arise a second time? These and other related issues are presented for your personal consideration and continued study of God’s Word.
