Educating Our Young People Re-examine our roots as we ask the question, "How can we best educate our young people?" In this interesting and thought-provoking presentation given at a recent education summit, Phil Mills, MD, reviews the often neglected history of the schools of the prophets and how youth were trained for service in Israel. Established by Samuel, they had a profound impact on the Jewish nation and were instrumental in revivals and reformation. Though hated by Jezebel, these institutions were strengthened by Elijah and Elisha and served as a barrier against the apostasy of Baal worship. These schools were the models upon which Adventist education was founded.
