ABOUT Shawn Boonstra
Shawn Boonstra serves as an Associate Editor of the Adventist Review, bringing decades of evangelistic, writing, and media-ministry experience to the role. A native of British Columbia, Shawn studied political science before becoming a Seventh-day Adventist as a young adult, and shortly thereafter began sharing his faith publicly. Before joining the Adventist Review, he led the Voice of Prophecy ministry for 12 years and previously served with It Is Written International, It Is Written Canada, and the North American Division, where he equipped pastors for outreach. Shawn and his wife, Jean, have guided tens of thousands into baptism through their ministry work. Passionate about making Scripture accessible, he enjoys helping people see how the Adventist message speaks to life and faith today.
